Senior Manager, Financial & Strategic Communications (Remote)

The Senior Manager of Financial and Strategic Communications develops, executes, and supports strategic communication initiatives for Labcorp, specifically focusing on financial, M&A, corporate responsibility, and crisis communications. The role has accountability for development and execution of both external and internal communication strategies. This role reports to the Senior Director of Financial and Strategic Communications.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of a comprehensive, global communications strategy that clearly articulates Labcorp's enterprise story and value proposition to key stakeholders.
- Provide strategic communications counsel to leaders driving the company's corporate responsibility agenda including environmental responsibility; diversity, equity and belonging and other areas including thought leadership, employee messaging, internal/external speaking engagements and media relations. Serve as key partner in development of annual Corporate Responsibility report.
- Serve as communications partner to teams managing M&A activity, coordinating closely with deal partners to develop strategy communications plans and deliverables across external and internal stakeholders.
- Support development of communications strategies and materials that advances our business performance narrative, working closely with our Investor Relations and Finance teams.
- Create comprehensive communications materials including news releases, talking points, presentations, award submissions and other materials to enhance Labcorp's corporate reputation.
- Protect Labcorp's reputation by effectively managing issues and crisis communications including legal matters.
- Liaise with Labcorp's agencies to continuously assess media opportunities, speaking engagements, competitive landscape, industry trends and market insights.
- Partner with Labcorp Social Media and Enterprise Communications to ensure channel alignment for key business activities.
- Work closely with Product and Business Communications team to ensure communications alignment and share best practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum years of relevant experience required: 8
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives around complex concepts.
- Expertise in media, public relations, crisis communications, employee engagement and communications.
- Strong background in the healthcare industry preferred
- Experience working for a publicly traded company preferred
Pay Range: $120,000 - $130,000/annually + annual bonus
