Senior Manager, Fulfillment Center Human Resources

Our Opportunity:Â Â
Chewy is currently sourcing for a Sr. Manager, FC Human Resources in our Dayton, OH fulfillment center! In this role, you'l be providing the full scope of HR advice, mentorship, and support across a non-union FC population at this site. The Sr. Manager, FC HR is responsible for and leads a Fulfillment Center Human Resources department and is the site HR lead. Â
What you’ll do: Â
- Partner with FC LT to plan and implement strategies to ensure maximum TM engagement. Â
- Provide leadership and expertise for Human Resource (HR) functions including all aspects of; professional relations, hourly relations, employee benefits, compensation, employee involvement, practices, training, organizational change, and development and communications. Â
- Lead team responsible for performance management, employee engagement and talent development. Â
- Assist management staff in resolution of issues and concerns. Â
- Assists with training as needed by training team; owns orientation and onboarding. Â
- Facilitate compensation programs. Implement compensation plans supported by the research of local market data for positions, evaluate job levels to ensure compensation programs remain competitive. Â
- Coordinate workers compensation program: investigate all injuries, first aid and near misses, and work with plant management to reduce all three. Â
- Recommend/coordinate discipline when warranted. Assist supervisors/fulfillment center management with disciplinary issues. Â
- Handle benefits administration. Â
- Develop/update job descriptions, rules, procedures and policies. Â
- Establish a culture that is based on Chewy’s Operating Principles Â
- Participate in facility safety and meetings, including, but not limited to, safety committee meetings and accident investigations. Â

What you’ll need: Â
- BA/BS required (Business Administration, Human Resources or related study preferred. Experience in a similar warehouse environment or a combination of education-training and experience will be considered. Â
- 5-7+ years in an HR partnership role ideally within a fulfillment or distribution center or fast-paced work environment with demonstrable track record of success. Â
- 2-3+ years’ experience leading a HR Team. Â
- Proven track record of strategic partnerships which improve the HR experience. Â
- Excellent written, verbal, public presentation /communication skills and strong interpersonal skills required. Â
- Able to work effectively with a variety of personnel. Â
- Strong employee relations background. Â
