As Senior Manager, Global Category Marketing in Mondelēz's International Strategy & Transformation Team, this role will support the development of global growth strategies by identifying major long-term growth priorities, developing compelling and clear action plans to capture these opportunities, and supporting their execution. The role will specialize in overseeing the adoption, execution, and continued enhancements of the Global Mindful Snacking and Bars Category Strategy as a key enterprise priority. It will oversee research and analytics along cross-functional and multi-Business Unit (BU) teams to identify and evaluate critical growth opportunities, developing strong strategies, business cases, partnering with BU/key functions to drive action while ensuring all initiatives are in service of the Global Category Strategies.
*** This role can be 100% remote or work out of our Chicago, East Hanover, NJ., or Zurich offices.
This person will:
  • Support the on-going management, continued evolution, and application of the global Mindful Snacking and Bars Category Strategy as it relates to the corporate strategic plan, providing respective inputs into key adjacent forums (e.g., MLT, Board presentations).
  • Initiate, define and support the development of key strategic Mindful Snacking and Bars initiatives which include category & platform strategies, global and business unit roadmaps and learning plans, on-going consumer/regulator/competitive monitoring to inform application/refinement of strategy and future opportunity studies & recommendations across functions and BUs by:
    • Identifying and prioritizing the next major sources and enablers of growth for our company in line with the focus areas of the enterprise strategy.
    • Supporting the development of compelling disruptive growth strategies and business cases informed by deep market and business understanding, strong external insights, and robust analytics (across industry, category, consumer, regulator, customer, and competitors).
    • Building alignment and effectively influencing stakeholders across different geographies, functions, and levels of the organization.
    • Driving action against the strategy and roadmap in a prompt, efficient manner; partnering with BUs and functions to drive executional excellence and an agile mindset to learn and further clarify platform roadmaps and successful implementation.
  • Enable the Mindful Snacking Growth Acceleration Team and Bars Steer Co., comprised of Multi-BU and Cross Functional representatives, by driving the agenda in partnership with your direct line manager; including but is not limited to identifying new opportunities to accelerate growth, removing barriers to execution, driving BU ownership and execution, and on-going tracking of progress.
  • Be a key go-to person for senior leadership including for strategic thinking in relation to the well-being market and Bars Category and opportunities to drive growth globally.

This role will work with key stakeholders on specific challenges (like prioritization, application of strategy locally, positioning, innovation/renovation) and requires interaction with Marketing, Sustainability & Impact, Insights & Analytics, CGA, R&D, Finance, and ISC staff to drive actionable plans and enable execution.

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience is necessary, and MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience either in a comparable role (e.g., marketing, strategy role) in a multinational FMCG Company or at a leading consulting firm or investment bank; focused on consumer goods and/or retail.
  • Demonstrated sound, well-structured and excellent analytical capabilities, hypothesis-driven problem-solving orientation.
  • Ability to combine strategic vision and thinking with everyday tactical detail with a strong orientation to action.
  • Strong financial acumen (experienced in modeling and detailed financial analysis).
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and ability to formulate complex business insights in executive level presentations.
  • Proven ability to adjust and work across-cultures.
  • Strong learning agility.
  • Effective inter-personal skills, relationship-builder who is collaborations-oriented and can effectively link the interests of multiple stakeholders.
  • Availability to travel abroad for key meetings and project reviews.
  • Ability to work with speed and agility.
