Senior Manager People Operations (f/m/d)

You'll be a valuable resource for our colleagues at all levels of the organization, providing guidance and support to help make them successful. You’ll have the opportunity to get your hands on interesting projects while working in a high, focused on employee experience. Leading an international team, you’ll ensure we scale effectively while we grow our global presence and have an impact on success-focused operations.

• Lead a small team of EMEA and US-based HR professionals
• Own, manage, optimize, and document People related operations, processes, and policies
• Drive key components of building out an HR shared services model
• Manage and ultimately be responsible for employment compliance in all country, federal, state, and local jurisdictions that Contentful employs people
• Develop employee and manager self-serve resources that will allow us to continue to scale and prepare for Contentful’s next stage of growth
• Partner with People Team COE stakeholders, and cross-departmental colleagues, to operationalize and execute on employment-related programs
• End to end visa and immigration support in conjunction with outside counsel
• Serve as first point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, processes, systems, employee data, and other People Team related topics
• Manage global on and offboarding processes (compliance, cross-departmental collaboration, employee contacts, document preparation, exit interviews, etc).

• Experience leading a global/international people operations team across multiple locations, in a high growth environment
• Experience building out, or scaling, an HR shared services model and processes
• Demonstrated project management and experience documenting workflows, identifying recommendations for change, gaining buy-in, and implementing changes to processes that affect at least 200+ people
• Experience working cross-functionally to automate processes and reduce tactical administration
• Solid working knowledge of, and experience with, broad People-related functional areas (Benefits, Payroll, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, etc)
• Experience with HR policies, labor law, compliance, and visa/immigration processing in multiple countries in Europe; ideally first hand working knowledge in Germany, Ireland, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Denmark, Finland and others
• A customer-first perspective and the ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization, across multiple countries and cultures
• Capability of working with limited supervision; proactive with strong prioritization and organizational skills
• Familiarity with a variety of HR systems; administration and workflow experience in Workday is ideal
• An analytical/structured mindset and rigorous attention to detail
• Ideally fluent in English and German
