Senior Manager, Product Design- Purchasing and Enterprise

We're looking for a Senior Manager of Product Design to cover two areas: Purchasing and Enterprise Partnerships. This area is the critical intersection of our consumers and merchants at the point of sale online or in-store to using Affirm. From our enterprise partnerships to our small self service merchants, this area leads the way how our merchants connect with consumers through our core product at checkout. You will be responsible for a team of experienced designers, who partner with content and research to meet the needs of our consumers. You are passionate about the experience, visual design, and content, and relentless about improving the products people love to use. This all results in a win-win-win for our users, merchants and Affirm.
This role will report into the Sr. Director of Product Design.
What you'll do:

• Apply a systems thinking approach to building products on checkout
• Balance coherence and consistency with the best possible experience
• Work through complex and ambiguous situations to clarity and focus that balance user needs and business value
• Educate & partner with other teams building new products as we diversify our offerings in checkout
• Support prioritization of short to long term results-oriented work that drives impact
• Partner closely with product management, engineering, research, content to execute delightful experiences
• Fosters an inclusive environment

• Leverage operational rigor for design through planning, principles, and frameworks to drive alignment

What we look for:

• 7+ years combined experience in consumer product/UX design focused roles with mobile-first products; payments, highly regulated space experience a plus
• 3+ years experience leadership experience with direct reports
• Demonstrated to scope and plan projects, and drive accountability for quality of execution, artifacts and deliverables;
• Leverages quantitative and qualitative insights to drive design decisions
• Ability to turn ambiguous direction into clear conceptual solutions solving for a user need and the business with little direction
• Experience leading innovative product solutions through foundational insights and with shipping to learn
• A strong eye for consumer executional craft, an obsession with design details, and the savvy to make trade-offs to get in market to learn
• Leverage and improve the quality of an existing design system
• Demonstrated operational rigor to improve the culture of the team and uphold the quality and craftsmanship of the work output
• A demonstrated portfolio of you/your team working cross-functionally, thinking across the experience and shipping successful in-app/web experiences in a fast-paced environment (Required)
