Senior Manager Projects (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Manager Projects (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) based in India.

This role is a senior leadership opportunity within large-scale real estate and construction projects, where you will oversee end-to-end delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems across high-rise commercial and premium developments. You will act as a key technical authority ensuring seamless coordination between design consultants, contractors, and internal project teams. The position plays a critical role in driving execution excellence from design review through procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning. You will ensure that all building services are delivered in line with quality, safety, cost, and regulatory standards. This is a high-impact role suited for an experienced MEP professional who can balance technical depth with strong project leadership in complex, fast-moving construction environments.

• Lead end-to-end execution of MEP systems across assigned construction projects, covering design coordination, procurement, installation, testing, commissioning, and final handover of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors during the design phase to ensure integration of MEP systems with overall building design and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Manage technical review of tenders, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and bill of quantities validation in collaboration with procurement and project leadership teams.
• Oversee execution of HVAC, electrical power systems, plumbing, fire safety systems, elevators, escalators, and building management systems across construction sites.
• Ensure effective liaison with statutory authorities for approvals, inspections, and utility services while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor project progress, contractor performance, cost control, and quality assurance while initiating corrective actions where required.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material approvals, and ensure timely delivery of design outputs from consultants.
• Participate in bill certification and post-tender activities while ensuring adherence to budget and contractual obligations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with at least 15 years of experience in the real estate or construction industry, particularly in high-rise or large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong expertise in end-to-end MEP project execution, including design review, procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning of building services systems.
• Deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection systems, plumbing, STPs, elevators, and integrated building management systems.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance, building codes, environmental regulations, and liaison with government utility authorities.
• Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office for planning, documentation, and reporting.
• Strong leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage teams, contractors, and consultants effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to drive decisions in complex, multi-stakeholder project environments.
