What you will do

  • Directs the organization and performance of assigned sales solution personnel in the development and drive of business solutions for targeted/assigned customers portfolio or group. Oversees the resourcing of the solutions team. Collaborates with executive management to determine strategy, priorities and areas of focus.
  • Manages customer relationships. Promotes and drives the establishment of technical credibility of the solution group with existing and prospective clients. Provides the ability to cultivate relationships and envision creative sales and solution strategies that generate additional revenue. Cultivates key trusted-advisor relationships with senior level IT executives demonstrating an understanding of key business challenges within customer markets and how Company technology-enabled business solutions can address those needs.
  • Provides leadership and strategic guidance with pursuit teams during the solution development process to ensure alignment with overall Company sales and client business strategy. Ensures the elements of the technical solution are not duplicated within multiple service delivery areas and cost models.
  • Provides oversight in the delivery and sale of the technical solution strategy and vision to senior client executives. Ensures that solutions from each service or product line fit with one another, with the overall technical strategy and with the transition plan, utilizing standard company solution offerings as appropriate to the opportunity.
  • Provides industry expertise and client business acumen. Serves as an established subject matter expert on customer architecture, business requirements and company solutions/products. Engages with all levels of management to sell higher level services and solutions to the customer, enabling competitive advantage for them in the marketplace. Identifies best practices and facilitates introduction into company lines of services.
  • Establishes and communicates goals and objectives, defines methodologies, tasks and activities and clearly describes roles and responsibilities for personnel. Communicates broadly to ensure overall coordination for cross-functional teams.
  • Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions. Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
  • Prepares, recommends and oversees development of operating and personnel budgets. Monitors spending for adherence to budget plans.

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Master's degree in business, computer science, information technology or related field preferred
  • Twelve or more years of business solutions, technical consulting, or sales solutions experience
  • Eight or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience working with the technology industry, specifically handling significantly sized accounts
  • Experience working with solution/product portfolios
  • Experience in leading the development of winning sales solutions and proposals
  • Experience working with technology products, services, competencies, solutions and offerings
  • Experience working with business environment, business industry and competitor products and services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to persuade others through presentations, demonstration and written communication
  • Strong communication skills to listen to client and articulate back for solutioning
  • Strong selling and negotiation skills
  • Strong skills as trusted advisor and technical subject matter expert for senior level internal and external executives
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members and prospective clients up to the Board level
  • Strong ability to work and lead in a team environment
  • Strong ability to manage and engage technical and sales solution staff to drive result
  • Strong ability to articulate and present the business value of Company solutions with a firm understanding of Company strategies and products relative to Company's major competitors
  • Ability to create and maintain formal and informal networks
  • Ability to use own judgment and initiative in problem resolution
  • Ability to present ideas, goals, problems, outcomes and processes to be understood by a diverse audience
  • Ability to publicly represent company with internal and external clients

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $143,500 - $266,500.
