Job Summary:
At Cat Digital we are creating a world-class next-generation platform that will power a growing ecosystem of innovative customer-focused applications. We are seeking a strategic visionary and technically outstanding Senior Software Engineering Manager within Cat Digital Platform Services to lead multiple high-impact teams in building and scaling reusable platform services and APIs that enable enterprise-wide applications and products.
What You Will Do:

Define and execute the vision for several scalable and secure platform Services and APIs that promote reuse reduce duplication and improve developer productivity.
Collaborate closely with product architecture security and business stakeholders to ensure platform capabilities align with long-term enterprise strategy and evolving customer needs.
Drive the design and development of Platform Services/APIs with reusability in mind balancing immediate business needs with future use cases by anticipating and forecasting evolving requirements.
You will constantly seek opportunities to improve organizational efficiencies.

What You Will Have:

Organizational Leadership: Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing engineering teams foster a culture of accountability and innovation and influence cross-functional stakeholders to deliver enterprise platform strategy and outcomes.
Software Architecture: Deep understanding of designing and evolving reusable platform services (shared APIs common frameworks foundational services) that enable downstream product teams to scale efficiently.
Software Development: Proven expertise in designing and delivering scalable cloud-native distributed systems Platform Services and APIs and driving engineering best practices across quality performance reliability security and automation.
Operational Excellence: Ability to detect systemic issues early manage risk proactively and drive corrective actions across teams and services.

Top candidates will have:

Gen AI Assisted Development: Practical experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools (such as GitHub Copilot or automated agent workflows) to accelerate code generation boilerplate reduction and automated testing across multiple teams.
Managing Managers: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop engineering managers setting clear expectations coaching through complexity and ensuring consistent execution talent growth and accountability across multiple teams.
Vision & Execution at Scale: Proven ability to set a clear platform and engineering vision and drive multiple complex initiatives in parallel through a large organization of 40+ software engineers aligning teams managing dependencies and delivering outcomes with consistency and accountability.

Summary Pay Range:
$159120.00 - $258570.00
