Job description

Team: Human Resources

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior People Business Partner based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, strategic People role supporting a fast-scaling, distributed organization where culture, performance, and operational excellence are deeply intertwined. You will act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across both GTM and technical functions, shaping people strategy that directly influences business outcomes.
The role requires close proximity to leadership teams, combining hands-on partnership with strategic workforce planning and organizational design.
You will operate in a highly autonomous, remote-first environment where trust, accountability, and clarity of impact are core to how work gets done.
A strong emphasis is placed on enabling high-performing teams through data-driven insights, leadership coaching, and scalable people programs.
You will also play a key role in navigating change, improving manager effectiveness, and strengthening employee experience across multiple functions.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, high-growth environments and can balance empathy with strong business acumen.

Accountabilities:

  • Partner with senior leaders across technical and GTM organizations to define and execute people strategies aligned with business goals and growth priorities.
  • Drive core people programs including performance calibrations, compensation reviews, employee engagement surveys, and leadership development initiatives.
  • Advise and coach managers to build high-performing, inclusive, and psychologically safe teams with strong accountability and trust.
  • Use people data and organizational insights to identify trends, diagnose issues, and influence leadership decisions proactively.
  • Lead organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment initiatives to support business scalability.
  • Support and guide performance management processes, including performance improvement plans, employee relations, and offboarding with care and consistency.
  • Act as a strategic thought partner in change management initiatives, ensuring clarity, alignment, and adoption across teams.
  • Embed inclusive practices and DEI principles into all people programs, policies, and leadership coaching efforts.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to anticipate risks and surface opportunities before they escalate.
  • Contribute to the evolution of people practices in a scaling, distributed-first organization.
  • Requirements:

    • 8+ years of experience in People Business Partner, HRBP, or People Strategy roles supporting technical and/or GTM organizations.
    • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and translating business strategy into effective people programs and outcomes.
    • Strong experience in high-growth, distributed, or international environments, ideally within product-led or engineering-driven companies.
    • Deep understanding of workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, and performance systems.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret people data and generate actionable insights.
    • Experience leading or supporting organizational change at scale, including communication, alignment, and adoption strategies.
    • Demonstrated ability to coach leaders and influence without formal authority.
    • Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive topics with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
    • Experience managing employee relations, performance improvement, and complex people situations with sound judgment.
    • Commitment to building inclusive, equitable, and high-trust workplace cultures.
    • Bonus: experience in transparent compensation practices, scaling organizations, or deep tech environments.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive salary range of $125,500 – $170,000 USD, depending on experience.
      • Generous equity package aligned with long-term company growth.
      • Unlimited PTO and a strong distributed-first work culture.
      • Home office, coworking, and internet stipends to support remote work.
      • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage for employees, with dependent coverage available.
      • Up to 16 weeks of paid parental leave, regardless of path to parenthood.
      • Annual learning and development budget to support professional growth.
      • Transparent compensation philosophy based on clear leveling and experience.
      • Flexible, remote-first environment with strong emphasis on autonomy and trust.
      • Opportunity to shape people strategy in a rapidly scaling, high-impact organization.
