This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer, Network Infrastructure based in India.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced platform engineer to design, automate, and operate large-scale Kubernetes infrastructure supporting mission-critical global network environments. The role sits at the intersection of cloud platforms, network engineering, and distributed systems, offering end-to-end ownership of highly scalable infrastructure across data centers, colocation facilities, and cloud environments. You will work on complex technical challenges involving platform reliability, observability, automation, and production operations while collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams. Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based platforms that support network automation, telemetry, and operational services across multi-environment infrastructures.
  • Own the complete lifecycle management of Kubernetes clusters, including provisioning, onboarding, upgrades, capacity planning, high availability, and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain production-grade automation for cluster deployment, validation, remediation, and GitOps-driven multi-cluster delivery processes.
  • Provide operational support for services hosted on the platform, collaborating closely with engineering teams to resolve cross-platform issues and ensure service reliability.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis efforts related to Kubernetes control planes, networking, storage, workload orchestration, and distributed dependencies.
  • Establish and continuously improve production readiness standards, observability frameworks, alerting mechanisms, runbooks, and recovery procedures.
  • Participate in incident management and on-call rotations, driving issues from detection through resolution and implementing long-term corrective actions.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 8+ years of experience building, operating, or supporting large-scale Kubernetes platforms, network infrastructure, or distributed systems environments.
    • Deep expertise in Kubernetes administration, including cluster lifecycle management, networking, storage systems, scalability, upgrades, and recovery processes.
    • Strong programming skills in at least one modern language such as Go or Python, with experience developing automation and platform tooling.
    • Hands-on experience with GitOps methodologies, infrastructure-as-code practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment frameworks.
    • Experience supporting network automation, telemetry platforms, or infrastructure services running in Kubernetes environments.
    • Proven background in production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and service reliability engineering practices.
    • Strong understanding of cloud networking, IP routing, data center architectures, or multi-region infrastructure environments is highly desirable.
    • Experience with technologies such as Cluster API (CAPI), Metal3, Kubernetes operators, or contributions to open-source infrastructure projects would be considered an advantage.
