Job Responsibilities
The position responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:
- Advise business teams on wide spectrum of matters relating to HIPAA, state consumer privacy laws (e.g., CCPA), PIPEDA, TCPA, digital health technologies, biometrics, and other privacy or technology issues.
- Maintain a solid understanding of applicable privacy laws and security laws in the US , including in the areas of health information exchange, data analytics, and AI governance.
- Collaborate with the IT function to ensure alignment between privacy and security policies.
- Advise business teams regarding proposed or potential data use/product features.
- Other duties as assigned

Successful Candidate Profile - What A Candidate Will Bring
Knowledge, Education, Certification & Technical Proficiencies
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and membership in at least one state bar.
- Expert knowledge of data protection and information security laws in North America.
- Privacy professional certification (CIPP/US, CIPT, CIPP/M, etc.)
- Security/Technical certification is a plus
Work Experience
- 8+ years of demonstrated privacy and/or data governance experience in a healthcare, IT, or financial company. SaaS, cloud computing or enterprise software provider experience strongly preferred
- Experience with establishing and maturing a global privacy governance program
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences
- Sound judgement, excellent problem-solving skills, practicality, and flexibility to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced and rapidly evolving environment
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
- High ethical standards, intellectual curiously and a team attitude.
Work Environment
- Frequent computer uses at a workstation for extended periods of time.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings, as needed.
- Periodic travel may be required depending on assigned projects

Therefore, an offer may fall anywhere in between the estimated minimum base salary for this role of $120,300.00/year (for full time employees) and the estimated maximum base salary for this role of $244,500.00/year (for full time employees). In addition to a base salary, this position may be bonus eligible.
