Job Description
Octopus Deploy sets the standard for Continuous Delivery, empowering software teams to deliver value in an agile way. Over 4,000 organizations globally â including Ubisoft, ASOS, Xero, monday.com, Stack Overflow, NASA, and Disney â rely on our Continuous Delivery, GitOps, and release orchestration solutions.Â
Founded in Australia in 2012, our team of over 300 Octonauts now spans the globe. We combine high growth and big ambitions with a sustainable, balanced working environment. Our revenue has grown consistently between 30â50% every year for the past 8 years, and weâve been profitable for 10 out of the past 11 years.
Weâve been remote-first since 2015 and work with an uncommon level of transparency. You can read our public handbook to learn how we work. We have a transparent approach to compensation that ensures people doing the same work with the same skill get paid the same, with well-defined career pathways. We foster a supportive, collaborative, and high-trust environment. We leave our job titles at the door and focus on doing whatâs best for our customers and team. Our leaders never shy away from answering the tough questions at our all-hands calls or in 1:1s. We conduct interviews and onboarding virtually as part of being a remote-first company.
In our first decade, we grew mainly through self-service purchases. Engineers evaluated our tool to learn how it can help them safely hand the deploy button to others. As our product has expanded, we now have more use cases and different users to reach.
Weâre hiring a Senior Product Manager to join our team focused on enhancing new customer acquisition experiences. The teamâs mission is key to balancing our sales motions and offering customers choices in engagement levelsâself-service, sales-assisted, or sales-led evaluations.
Why this job is exciting:

- You'll have the autonomy, ownership, and potential for growth necessary to create long-term impact.
- Work in an organization with a strong product operating model.
- Youâll work in a cross-functional team to identify the most valuable opportunities and define the best solutions.
- Youâll collaborate with other functions to craft a delightful customer journey.
- Your manager (and other leaders) will be invested in your career and growth.
What youâll do:
- Build an understanding of how people discover, learn, try, and buy Octopus for the first time.
- Identify experiments and concrete opportunities to help evaluators reach a conclusion.
- Work with other product teams to offer patterns and feedback on how key capabilities can be evaluated easily.
- Collaborate with your team's Product Marketing, Design, and Engineering folks to experiment with new ideas and implement validated ones.
- Partner with Marketing and Billing Experience to improve the end-to-end evaluation experience.
- Inspire and excite the team to do the best work of their careers through stories of the purpose and impact of their work.
We are looking for someone like you who:
- Has multiple years of experience working on a developer, infrastructure, or enterprise B2B SaaS product
- Has collaborated closely with marketing and sales teams to identify and prioritize changes that convert interest into customers while minimizing acquisition time and cost.
- Utilizes qualitative and quantitative research, experiments, and hypotheses to uncover new opportunities.
- Fosters a highly collaborative approach, creating alignment among executives, decision-makers, and influencers.
- Represents the product experience, continuously seeking opportunities to enhance engagement and support customers in interacting through their preferred channels.
