Senior Product Owner

Position Summary:

The Senior Product Owner is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting software solutions for business processes that require either improvements or efficiency enhancements.  The Senior Product Owner will provide direction and strategy for the product / roadmap and overseer the analysis of business processes, documentation of business and functional requirements, and the design of high-level technology solution necessary for the business process.  The Senior Product Owner will also be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the solution, overseeing the support of the solution and maintaining the product roadmap.  The Senior Product Owner will work closely with business subject matter experts from the respective business unit to define enhance and support the current technology platform.

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

• Partner with Business owners to define and document product vision
• Represent business and client needs in the application development efforts
• Analyze business processes and work with the development team to provide technology solutions
• Work with UI/UX teams to provide a user friendly interface and oversee usability study efforts
• Establish timelines and product benchmarks
• Develop application implementation roadmaps
• Define product vision
• Ensure production alignment with company mission and goals
• Enforce company software development methods and strategies
• Accountable for overall delivery of technology platforms
• Drive and oversee the software implementation team
• Drive daily stand-up meetings for an agile development process
• Develop and maintain implementation timelines
• Maintain and track implementation budgets
• Oversee the project manager(s) to ensure all deliverables are met
• Measure project effectiveness
• Implement process improvements from project to project
• Develop marketing materials for product features / enhancements
• Carry out other duties/projects as assigned

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or other science related discipline
• 7 years’ experience leading development teams

Other Required:

• Experience leading software development teams into an agile development lifecycle
• Ability to deliver working software products
• Experience translating business processes into requirements that can be used as a source of implementation
• Understanding of Software development languages
• Ability to track budgets and develop and maintain project timelines
• experience in defining and implementing configurable product platforms
• Comprehensive understanding of the Data Analytics space with the ability to translate business processes into technology solutions
• Agile software development experience
• Direct supervisory or experience managing people and/or teams
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must be able to read, write, speak fluently and comprehend the English language

Preferred:

• Data Analytics and Machine Learning product development experience
• Business development experience in presenting technology platforms
• Experience with Agile management tools, like GitHub
