Position Summary:

As a team member of the Project Management Office, the Senior Project Manager's focus will be on the management of all aspects of Enterprise IT project discovery through implementation and lessons learned. The Senior Project Manager within the PMO is responsible for leading the intake, scoping, monitoring, implementation and execution of strategic Enterprise IT projects. There will be a close relationship among Enterprise IT and other GSRM Teams including Security & Privacy Engineering, Security Operations, Tech Ops and others. The Senior Project Manager will lead all efforts and drive decisions withing the framework established by the PMO to deliver projects on time and on-budget, with high quality, industry standard deliverables.
This Senior Project Manager should have a good technical understanding of networks, applications, development and deployment practices, and excellent organization and communication skills. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager must demonstrate ownership and leadership abilities to drive decisions, compromise, progress, and accountability of all tasks and milestones established at the beginning of all projects. Lastly, the Senior Project Manager must be able to work effectively with development, application and operational counterparts, across a broad and deeply technical environment in all IT areas common within an e-commerce and technology industry.
Core Responsibilities:
• Building and managing the execution of standard project plans with a detailed Work Breakdown Structure including task list, resource assignments, key dependencies and milestones, durations and timelines
• Monitoring the details and status of projects and providing regular project status reporting updates to the PMO and Project Team
• Performing up front due-diligence to clearly define project scope, timelines, deliverables and success criteria
• Rigorously managing scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed upon timelines, cost and quality parameters
• Leading vendors and/or contractors in the context of a project and managing adherence and expectations of vendor commitments against project deliverables and quality
• Ability to identify risks early on in the project, and to lead with the team reasonable and achievable solutions to keep project on time and on budget
Skills and Qualifications:
• Must be a self-initiated, self-motivated, proactive, strong communicator and leader with exceptional verbal and written communication, documentation and reporting skills to translate the vision and strategy into clear priorities and direction, both internally and externally.
• Ability to explain and present technical aspects of projects and programs to all levels within the organization, in 'laymans' terms
• Proven leadership experience with demonstrated ability to work well in a team setting, leading teams and holding others accountable for delivery, as well as the ability to function independently.
• Hands-on experience and certification in a wide variety of project management practices, including SDLC, SCRUM, Kanban, and other traditional project management methodologies.
• Expertise in Industry Standard Project Management Tools such as SmartSheet, MS Project, JIRA, Confluence, Service Now, etc.
• Experience in a company that is fast paced, not complacent, and exhibits successful transformations in key IT functions supporting business growth
• Experience with change management lifecycle, development and regular preparation of management status and key metrics reports
• Should have strong process and procedure ownership experience for ensuring project monitoring, execution and delivery alignment with IT and business goals and objectives
• Ability to develop and self-manage career objectives and key results for annual performance measurements
• Ability to work with extremely technical staff working on very sensitive subject areas and with extremely sensitive information
• High level of personal integrity, with the ability to professionally handle confidential matters and exudes the appropriate level of judgment and maturity
• A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in Enterprise IT Project Management, leading and driving progress to successful project delivery.
. We're hybrid 2 days in the office now but transitioning into the office only work model by Summer 2023.
Education Level: Bachelor's Degree in Information Science and Technology, or related degree or experience
Field of Study: Information Technology, Engineering, Project Management Professional
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP are highly desired
Years of Experience: Generally requires 5 - 7 years related experience. E-commerce and technology field experience highly desired
