Accountabilities:

The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of strategic projects while ensuring effective governance, stakeholder alignment, and successful execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead and manage multiple medium- to large-scale projects from intake and planning through execution, monitoring, and successful completion.
  • Coordinate project evaluation, discovery, prioritization, scheduling, and scope definition using established project management processes.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, deliverables, budgets, and resource allocations.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and communicate progress to stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Ensure all project deliverables are completed, documented, and formally closed upon project completion.
  • Support project governance by tracking key performance metrics, managing risks, and providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Develop communication plans that keep stakeholders informed of project status, milestones, issues, and decisions.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support change management initiatives and ensure successful project adoption.
  • Utilize project management tools, dashboards, and reporting systems to monitor strategic priorities and project health.
  • Facilitate meetings, coordinate project activities, and support continuous improvement of project management methodologies and processes.
  • Contribute to resource planning, team coordination, and partnership management to achieve project objectives.
  • Recruit, coach, develop, and support direct reports while fostering a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate brings extensive project management experience, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage complex initiatives across diverse stakeholders. Required qualifications and skills include:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, professional certification, and relevant experience.
    • Project Management certification (such as PMP) is preferred.
    • 5+ years of professional project management experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
    • Previous experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO).
    • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in fast-paced environments while consistently meeting deadlines.
    • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance, process improvement, and implementation strategies.
    • Experience with organizational change management and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Advanced proficiency with Asana, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present information to senior stakeholders.
    • Strong customer service orientation and stakeholder management abilities.
    • Highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing competing priorities effectively.
    • Experience within nonprofit, education, youth development, or mission-driven organizations is preferred but not required.
