About the job:

As the Senior Security Operations Engineer II, you’ll identify and remediate cloud threats and security incidents, monitor the health of the cloud security vulnerability management, and enable and implement innovative solutions that increase our security posture and enable our teams to do their best work. You won’t be alone in this endeavor with the support of the Director of Information Security and Governance Risk and Compliance and team members that will look to you as a mentor and coach with an opportunity for future growth as the leader of the InfoSec team.

What you'll do:

• Build, deploy, and manage infrastructure and security tooling (e.g. rebuilding VPN servers)
• Collaborate with security engineers and software developers to resolve critical cloud vulnerabilities and respond to security incidents
• Create workflows and integrations to automate vulnerability / configuration management
• Determine when risk acceptance is needed for outstanding cloud vulnerabilities and misconfigurations and understand the potential larger impact
• Provide recommendations on how to avoid future incidents and improve security controls
• Coach and mentor junior security operations professionals, and develop and lead trainings for corporate end-users
• Support system updates in partnership with Information Technology and Engineering Teams
• Assist in the maintenance and reporting of security program metrics

What you need:

• 5+ years in DevOps, Cloud Security, Security Operations or Network Engineering
• Proficiency with object-oriented programming and infrastructure as code (ideally Terraform and Python3)
• Understanding of cloudsec architecture and AWS Lambda highly preferred
• Initiative and professional growth mindset (learn, adapt, persevere, grow)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering a plus
• Advanced customer service and people skills

• Location: This is a fully-remote role that may sit anywhere in the United States. You're welcome to work from our DC, Austin, Chicago or New York office if you're in-region!
