Accountabilities:

The Senior Software Engineer, Frontend Platform will be responsible for owning the long-term technical direction of frontend infrastructure while improving how teams design and deliver products. This role requires strong technical ownership, collaboration, and the ability to independently identify and solve high-impact engineering challenges.

  • Own and evolve the frontend platform strategy, including shared architecture, design systems, developer tooling, and technical foundations supporting web and mobile applications.
  • Partner with product and design teams to transform the design system into a scalable platform that improves consistency, usability, and development speed.
  • Build integrations, workflows, documentation, and tooling that make frontend systems easier for engineers, designers, and AI-assisted development tools to adopt.
  • Lead major platform initiatives, including framework upgrades, mobile modernization, shared library improvements, and technical migrations.
  • Drive the migration of legacy components into modern systems by creating automation, documentation, and processes that empower teams to complete work efficiently.
  • Improve developer experience through reusable tools, templates, automation, and workflows that increase engineering productivity.
  • Identify technical friction points and systematically improve processes, patterns, and infrastructure across the organization.
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to establish scalable frontend practices and contribute to a stronger technical culture.
  • Requirements:

    The ideal candidate is a highly experienced frontend-focused engineer with strong platform thinking, a passion for developer experience, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-moving environment.

    • Significant experience building production software, with deep expertise in frontend systems and architecture.
    • Strong proficiency in React and TypeScript, with solid full-stack engineering fundamentals across frontend applications, backend services, developer tooling, and infrastructure.
    • Experience with React Native or mobile development environments.
    • Proven experience designing and implementing scalable design systems and working closely with product designers using tools such as Figma.
    • Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools and applying them to improve engineering productivity and workflows.
    • Experience connecting design systems with prototyping tools, AI coding environments, or engineering pipelines.
    • Ability to independently define technical roadmaps, prioritize initiatives, and drive projects without requiring extensive oversight.
    • Familiarity with technologies such as Storybook, style dictionaries, design token pipelines, animation frameworks, or interaction libraries is a plus.
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence technical decisions across teams.

        • Tier 2 locations: $88,000 - $115,000 USD
