This role sits at the core of a high-impact Ads organization focused on building and scaling next-generation advertising products and reporting systems. You will help design and evolve full-stack advertising solutions that power data-driven insights for advertisers and retail partners. The work involves handling petabyte-scale data pipelines and ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely reporting across multiple platforms. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data Science, and Machine Learning teams to shape scalable ad formats and infrastructure. The environment is fast-paced, highly collaborative, and centered on rapid iteration without compromising engineering quality. Your contributions will directly influence revenue growth, partner success, and the overall evolution of a modern ads ecosystem.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of new advertising formats and end-to-end ad solutions across full-stack systems.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and reporting systems supporting billing, analytics, and partner insights.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, data scientists, and engineers to define requirements and long-term strategy.
  • Develop and optimize distributed systems capable of processing large-scale (petabyte-level) data efficiently and reliably.
  • Ensure high engineering standards through robust testing, code quality, performance optimization, and system reliability.
  • Contribute beyond coding by influencing product direction, solving cross-team challenges, and improving overall system architecture.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
    • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including strong exposure to distributed systems.
    • Hands-on experience with data processing tools such as DBT and Airflow, and familiarity with web frameworks like Rails.
    • Strong SQL skills with the ability to write, debug, and optimize complex queries.
    • Experience designing scalable systems and working with large, complex codebases.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and collaborate across teams.
    • Solid analytical thinking, debugging ability, and strong ownership mindset.
    • Preferred: experience in digital advertising, big data tools (Spark, Kafka, Flink, Hive, Hadoop), and streaming/batch pipelines.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive base salary ranging approximately from $166,000 to $210,000 USD depending on location.
      • Eligibility for equity grants, including new hire and annual refresh awards.
      • Fully remote “Flex First” work environment with location flexibility.
      • Comprehensive healthcare and wellness benefits (medical, dental, vision, and related support).
      • Opportunities to work on large-scale systems with high business and technical impact.
      • Inclusive, collaborative engineering culture with strong emphasis on learning and growth.
      • Flexible working model with regular in-person community-building events.
