Could this be you?

• As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you are responsible for collaborating with a product owner, designers, and other engineers to develop and maintain robust, secure, and performant web applications
• You possess a strong competency within with frontend technologies such as React, React Hooks, TypeScript, Redux, Cypress, and Material UI
• You are versatile, display leadership qualities, and are enthusiastic to take ownership of new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward
• You can demonstrate and are willing to share your knowledge of common frontend patterns, best practices, and understanding of system architecture design with other members of the team
• You are able to challenge the status quo in order to broaden opportunities for your team to improve patient health outcomes
• With your technical expertise you are able to manage and communicate project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using tools like Jira and Confluence

Opportunities

• Lead roadmap initiatives from end-to-end in the software development lifecycle, from design and planning to implementation, deployment, testing and maintenance
• Become a tech lead role model for other engineers in our organization, sharing new ideas, technologies, and best practices
• Organize and lead a cross-team engineering community that is responsible for our internal JavaScript/TypeScript packages that use tools such as Lerna and GitHub Actions
• Ability to volunteer onsite with rolling out our applications and supporting clinics, patients and providers

Experience

• Minimum 5-7 years of experience using frontend technologies in the JavaScript ecosystem such as React, TypeScript, ESLint
• Experience with reusable component libraries such as Material UI, Chakra UI, or Next UI
• Strong proficiency with testing using tools such as Cypress, Jest, and React Testing Library
• Experience working in a cross-functional team setting with other engineers, designers, product owners, and QA engineers
• Experience with cloud-based AWS technologies such as CodeArtifact, EC2, Cognito, S3, and API Gateway
• Experience with monitoring, observability, and analytics tools such as Datadog, Sentry, and Count.ly
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or any related field

For Colorado Residents only: The base compensation range for this role is $120,000 to $145,000. At VillageMD, compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, location, etc. This role may be eligible for annual/quarterly bonus incentives (if applicable), and the selected candidate will be eligible for a valuable company benefits plan, including health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and access to a 401k plan with company match.
