Senior Software Engineer - Oracle

swxtch.io is looking for a talented Senior Software Engineer to contribute to their cloudSwXtch product team. If you have deep experience developing complex applications and systems, ideally with Golang, PostgreSQL, JavaScript on back-end services, then we want you at swXtch.io! For this position, someone with a deep expertise of Oracle Cloud environment is ideal. 

You will have the opportunity to apply that experience and knowledge to build new products and new systems with swXtch.io technology. You will work on multiple projects that span all major public clouds.  You will also work closely with the Product teams to develop internal tools and systems (both front-end and back-end). This role will also require you to work with our Engineering team to maintain critical operational systems.

We are especially looking for someone that is a high energy self-starter, who is intellectually curious, not afraid to be hands-on, and eager to contribute to code every single day. What You''ll Do:

• Responsible for the back-end development of core swXtch.io systems and new platforms
• Contribute to system design, including architecture, API design, testing, and deployment
• Build out software components and systems needed for delivery of new technology products
• Collaborate with partners in business development, support, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful delivery of the product
• Provide support to the engineering teams

You Are:

• 6+ years of software development experience
• Strong object-oriented programming experience
• Strong working knowledge of Oracle Cloud environment
• Experience developing production quality systems in one or more of the major public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle)
• Understanding of full Golang development processes (build tools, continuous integration, automated testing, deployment)
• Experience working with PostgreSQL
• Experience with JavaScript, React, Node.js and other web frameworks
• Experience with building software for Linux platforms
• Experience with using git for source control

Bonus Points:

• Bilingual (English + Spanish)
• Experience with network programming (IP Multicast, TCP, etc.)
• Distributed computing, data modeling, operational experience

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting annual base pay is between $125,000 and $160,000 for this Remote or NY-based position. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The annual base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for bonus and equity.
