Senior Technical Consultant

Our team is looking for a dynamic, Technical Consultant to join our growing Professional Services Team! You will start by learning our product offering and become intimately familiar with our reporting and analytics tools. Your efforts will carry impact as you will support internal and external stakeholders on their custom solutions needs. Our ideal candidate will be tech savvy, a quick study, as well as someone who enjoys working on multiple, concurrent and customer-facing projects.

What You’ll Do

• Work with our customers to scope, quote, develop, implement, and support custom solutions, including reports, dashboards, data imports/exports, and third-party integrations
• Collaborate with our team on new tools and efficiencies
• Learn our system capabilities and limitations to steer customers towards reporting best-practices
• Develop new methods of integrating with third-party systems
• Work with consultants to validate custom business logic validation requirements and then develop SQL (MS T-SQL via SSMS) scripts based on those requirements
• Work with our Product and Technical Services Teams to support existing integrations and assist in developing, implementing, and extending new integrations built via Workato
• On-going growth in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Your First 90 Days

In your First 30 Days, you will be immersed in learning our products, solutions, tools, and development standards, including the data model as well as Technology Services policies and procedures. Product education will be at the forefront of your efforts, in concert with shadowing other Technology Consultants and Support team members during customer interactions and solution design and development.  Working with another member of our team, you will develop and deliver your first billable solution to a client.

In your First 60 Days, while continuing to educate yourself on Unanet’s product offering, you will begin working individually, with all code will reviewed by Team Lead prior to delivery. Using an existing Analytical Model, you will build your first Analytic Dashboard.  You will be paired with our implementation team and provide custom solutions needed for a client Go-Live. 

In your First 90 Days,  your code that will be written to the internal standards and controls we have in place. At this point, you will be very familiar with our software and the way in which data flows through it. Your skillset will continue to expand as you explore creating new third-party integrations and support and deploy  existing integrations via Unanet Connect (via Workato).

Who You Are

• 5+ years of client-facing technical consulting experience
• Strong proficiency with SSMS writing T-SQL
• Strong proficiency in writing and maintaining custom stored procedures and SQL functions
• Demonstrable prior experience using SSRS
• Prior experience with Power BI, Tableau or similar technology
• Proficiency with writing ad hoc PowerShell scripts
• Experience working with REST APIs and building third-party software integrations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Your Differentiators

• Prior experience with ETL systems and processes (Workato strongly preferred)
• Experience with programming using Ruby
• Previous work experience with business/accounting principles
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related

The salary range for this opportunity is $100,000 - $115,000 per year. You will be eligible for employee equity as well as discretionary bonus compensation, subject to plans that may be in effect from time to time.
