Who we are
Optimal Dynamics is on a mission to automate and optimize the logistics industry through the use of advanced analytics. We are based on more than three decades of R&D at Princeton University and represent the most sophisticated technology ever developed for the logistics industry. About the team
We are a team of bright, kind, and solution-oriented people focused on creating value for our customers. We can solve problems individually, but understand that the best solutions are found when the team brainstorms ideas together. We are excited about balancing the need to deploy new solutions quickly and designing solutions that are secured, reliable, maintainable and scalable for the long run.
Role Responsibilities
As the Senior Technical Product Manager for Data Integration & Data Engineering you will be responsible for defining the product vision, strategy and roadmaps for ODâs Data Integration platform and services, and Data Engineering that support and enable ODâs bleeding-edge AI/ML-based optimization engine, and our customer facing B2B SaaS products. You will be part of a dynamic, well- funded rapid growth company, and have the opportunity to be a thought leader, work with industry-leading data scientists and engineers and deliver significant impact to Optimal Dynamics and our customers. Â
This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer, and will work closely with the Chief Analytics Officer and the VP of Engineering.
What you will own/do
- Work with one of the worldâs most unique data sets, improving our internal and external data integration capabilities and data processing and infrastructure to help solve complex customer problems in innovative waysÂ
- You will be responsible for building a flexible, extensible data integration platform to enable strategic external integrations, and internal connecting interfaces/services/APIs that enable OD to execute, grow and scale quickly and efficiently. This will require driving an âAPI-firstâ mind set and transformation!

- You will be responsible for guiding and building Data Engineering tools and capabilities to support and enable our AI/ML-based optimization engine and customer-facing applicationsÂ
- Own and drive all aspects of the product lifecycle including senior stakeholder engagement and management, product discovery, definition and prioritization, and development and deployment.Â
- Always working back from our customersâ needs, you will partner with the Data Analytics Teams, and other Product Managers, to create and deliver the product roadmap for the Data Integration and Data Engineering teams
- Provide thought leadership and expertise to define ODâs Data Integration strategy and capabilities, defining guidelines, standards, protocols/technical requirements to enable quick, easy integrations with our customersâ Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and evolve our Integration Platform into a strategic capability and a competitive differentiator.  Â
Key Skills
- Deep technical product management experience, delivering robust, highly scalable external and internal integration services and APIs. And internal data engineering capabilities for large, complex data sets
- Experience collaborating with Data Science / Data Analytics teams and Front End engineering to develop B2B SaaS productsÂ

- Prioritization. You have the ability to align stakeholders by providing fact-based analysis of the cost/benefits to ensure we are always prioritizing the most important items and understand the tradeoffsÂ
- Leadership and Communication. Proven ability to influence and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members, up to and including the executive-level
- Cross-Functional Collaboration. A great collaborator, biased toward action and an excellent simplifier - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery
- Customer Obsessed. Passionate about building capabilities, not features, that maximize value for our customers. And that solves their problems in innovative ways
- Build for Scale. Build scalable, platform-level integration and data management capabilities that support current customer needs and ODâs future scale and growthÂ
- Influencing. You quickly build strong relationships and are able to effectively influence up, down and across the business to get people on board, get stuff done and push back in order to achieve company goals
- Evidence of âfast startup executionâ and âget it doneâ attitude
- You love to both think strategically, and execute tactically, rolling up your sleeves to get stuff done!
