Description:

We are seeking a Senior webMethods Developer to join our team supporting Federal agency client located in Lanham, MD. The Senior webMethods Developer use their webMethods expertise to develop interfaces and perform support on existing infrastructure. The candidate will be required to attend client technical meetings. The candidate will work across the enterprise to coordinate with the various stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for day-to-day hands on development activities related to the webMethods based interfaces and infrastructure.
• Participate in daily scrum meetings and weekly team meetings.
• Provide input into Sprint planning and story development estimation.
• Create designs for implementation of user stories and implement them.
• Script manual steps using ANT/SHELL/PYTHON (or any scripting language).
• Ability to work independently on assigned development projects.

Project Specific Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required; an additional four (4) years of related work experience can substitute for a degree.
• At least five (5) years of relevant experience required.
• webMethods development and/or administration experience required, 10.x preferred.
• webMethods Integration Server (IS)/Universal Messaging (UM) experience.
• Flow/Java Services/Standard webMethods Adapter Development experience.
• XML/SCHEMA and webMethods web services development experience.
• Experience working with the webMethods suite for multiple projects and clients.
• Ideally experience working with API Management Platform from SoftwareAG; API Portal, API Gateway and API Governance.
• Experience with the upgrade activities with webMethods suite of products from one version to other.
• webMethods products installation experience in Linux/Unix.
• Working knowledge of industry security best practices.
• Strong communication skills and able to work across organizations.
• Ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision and guidance.
• Ability to work well independently or in a team setting.

Preferred qualifications include:

• CI/CD setup for the webMethods suite products.
• Experience with Centrasite Registry/Repository and Design time governance.
• Working knowledge of Java/J2EE development technologies.
• Strong Linux/Unix experience
• Trading Networks experience
• Script manual steps using ANT/SHELL/PYTHON (or any scripting language)
• Jenkins, Github, Ansible experience

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for up to 80% of time.
• Ability to reach for or file documents up to 10% of time.
• Frequent use of computer, telephone, and office equipment (copier, fax, scanner).
• Work is performed in an office environment with a low to moderate noise level.

Additional Requirements:

• Candidates must be able to obtain a IRS Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) clearance (IRS Moderate Risk MBI clearance).
• Candidates must be a US Citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident (Green Card status) for 3 years and be Federal Tax compliant.

Job Location: Location of work is remote in US. Candidates will ideally be within driving distance of Federal Buildings in Austin, TX, Farmers Branch, TX or Lanham, MD. Local candidates may attend meetings occasionally at the facility.
