Job description

Develop and implement Service Department strategies to increase revenues and margin for the Service Department that are aligned with overall business values, goals and mission of HPS. Carry out responsibilities in functional areas, such as, staffing, employee relations, training, safety, customer satisfaction and market research. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Overall Management of Service Department functions. • Responsible for profit and loss for the Service Department. • Responsible for safety related items in Service Department. • Responsible for unhappy customers and field visits to solve issues when needed. • Manage and monitoring bids process and refining when needed. • Managing Department standards and process. Refining where and when needed. • Outside sales and customer targeting in San Diego area. • Field visits to observe technicians and improve their salesman and communication skills. • Customer Development and Management. • Service Department Recruiting (Interviewing and vetting). • In charge of all Service Department advertising and social media. • Minimum of 2 days spent in Bakersfield each month. • Run weekly Service Department meetings between both offices to cover sales/trainings/specials via virtual platform OTHER DUTIES and Responsibilities: • Assist Executive Management on special items from time to time. Knowledge & Skills: • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills and ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy • Capable of maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in difficult situations • Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and software including Sage Contractor 100, and ServiceTitan • Comprehensive understanding of Customer Service best practices • Knowledge of OSHA standards with regard to construction • Minimum of 1-2 years of Management experience This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Service Manager to join our team.
