Sheet Metal Laser/Turret Operator

Job Purpose: Responsible for tasks related to setup and operation of sheet metal parts on Amada Lasers and Turrets. Other duties and tasks may be assigned. Duties: • Responsible for setting up and operating turret/laser equipment to cut and punch metal components to print. • Responsible for flexing to shakeout (part separation). • Must be able to read mechanical drawings and understand standard dimensions. • Responsible for verifying parts to print requirements and verifying another operators’ work. • Responsible for maintaining an organized workplace through good housekeeping efforts. • Must be able to use various turret and laser equipment (Amada) and produce parts that meet quality standards. • Ability to calculate figures and analyze such as dimensions, and measurements.
