This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SimCorp Technical Consultant based in Canada.
In this role, you will join a specialized consulting environment focused on delivering high-impact financial technology solutions for investment management organizations. You will be responsible for configuring, integrating, and optimizing complex data workflows within the SimCorp Dimension ecosystem, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and operational efficiency. The position blends hands-on technical engineering with functional financial domain understanding, particularly in portfolio and asset management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into robust technical solutions. This is a highly impactful role where automation, data quality, and system performance directly support critical investment operations. You will also contribute to modernizing financial data infrastructure through integration, transformation, and process optimization. The environment is collaborative, global, and focused on continuous improvement in financial technology delivery.
Accountabilities:
In this role, you will take ownership of configuration, integration, and optimization activities across SimCorp Dimension modules, ensuring reliable and scalable financial data workflows. You will design and implement transformation logic and automation pipelines while supporting investment operations and reporting processes.
- Lead configuration and integration efforts across SimCorp modules such as CommServer, DFS, Cartridge, DEX, and MQ
- Design and develop modular XSLT pipelines to transform, validate, and manage XML-based financial data workflows
- Build and maintain secure automated data pipelines using DEX, MQ, and SFTP to ensure reliable data movement and processing
- Integrate XSLT and related logic into content and reporting systems for automation and compliance-ready outputs
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to translate functional requirements into scalable SimCorp solutions
- Manage batch jobs, data extractors, and DFS components to ensure timely and accurate financial data processing
- Develop utilities and mechanisms for external security data lookups, archiving, and audit-ready data management
- Support DFS modules across financial accounting, regulatory reporting, and automation workflows
- Design and optimize solutions for fixed income, portfolio management, and Bloomberg data integration use cases
- Troubleshoot, enhance, and continuously improve SimCorp configurations and related integrations in collaboration with global teams
- 5+ years of experience in financial services or investment/asset management technology roles
- Hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension and key modules such as DFS, CommServer, MQ, DEX, and Cartridge
- Strong proficiency in XSLT, XML, SFTP, and data integration/mapping workflows
- Solid understanding of portfolio management, fixed income instruments, and financial data flows
- Experience with Bloomberg data integration and financial market data processing
- Knowledge of workflow automation, batch processing, and system integration design
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and system reliability
- Ability to collaborate effectively with global, cross-functional technical and business teams
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Experience in compliance-oriented environments, including data archiving and audit support (asset)
