Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)

Description Drata is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. Our infrastructure runs on AWS across multiple accounts with everything defined in Terraform. You will help us scale our business to meet the needs of our growing customer base and develop products and tools that delight our users. You'll play a critical role in our fast-growing company, working alongside engineers with diverse skill sets, following best-practices in technology, architecture, and process.
What you'll do:

• Providing operational support for Drata to meet SLOs and SLAs
• Working closely with development teams to onboard their services, implement and improve SLIs and SLOs of those services
• Identifying and developing processes, tools, automation, infrastructure improvements and software changes to address top operational issues
• Monitoring and tuning SQL queries and database performance
• Enforcing architectural governance, deployment standards and best practices
• Participating in an on-call rotation and incident management to resolve active incidents
• Partnering with the rest of the SRE and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure smooth, continued delivery of our services to customers

Requirements What you'll bring:

• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, building and maintaining scalable, resilient services
• Strong knowledge of cloud computing technologies, including AWS, Terraform, and Docker
• Solid background in software development and architecting resilient and reliable applications
• Experience with Javascript/Typescript and TypeORM
• Experience with developing tooling and automation in Bash and Python
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline automation
• Extensive knowledge of relational database design concept
• Strong proficiency in MySQL architecture, database management, performance tuning and troubleshooting
• Hands on experience with AWS RDS (MySQL) administration, backup and recovery strategies
• Good understanding of observability concepts (monitoring, logging, tracing, metrics)
