This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to support mission-critical infrastructure by ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of modern cloud and DevOps environments. As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will work alongside experienced technical professionals to optimize CI/CD pipelines, automate operational processes, and strengthen system performance. You'll play a key role in maintaining highly available platforms while contributing to infrastructure modernization and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is ideal for someone with a passion for cloud technologies, Linux administration, automation, and operational excellence in a collaborative, remote-first environment supporting high-impact projects.

Accountabilities

  • Monitor the health, availability, and performance of critical systems and infrastructure, responding promptly to incidents and implementing preventive measures to minimize future disruptions.
  • Support the reliability, scalability, and security of CI/CD pipelines by maintaining robust deployment processes and improving operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions that reduce manual intervention, streamline infrastructure management, and enhance overall system reliability.
  • Perform proactive system patching, maintenance, and configuration updates while ensuring all infrastructure changes are accurately documented.
  • Optimize cloud infrastructure and operational processes to improve performance, resource utilization, and cost efficiency.
  • Contribute to DevOps best practices by enhancing deployment workflows, operational monitoring, and infrastructure management processes.
  • Produce technical documentation, reports, knowledge base articles, and operational guides to support engineering teams and maintain system transparency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and continuously improve platform resilience.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in systems administration, network administration, or site reliability engineering.
    • Active T3 investigation with the ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances for classified environments.
    • Current CompTIA Security+ certification.
    • Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and containerization technologies.
    • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and modern DevOps practices.
    • Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and infrastructure security best practices.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced technical environments.
    • Excellent written communication skills with experience creating technical documentation and operational reports.
    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certifications are considered strong advantages.
