Socius Marketing - SEO Coordinator (Remote, US)

Socius Marketing is looking for an SEO Coordinator to join our team of writers, designers, paid search specialists and developers. You'll work closely with clients and team members across all departments to drive winning search engine optimization and digital marketing strategies that support the brand, voice and business goals of our clients.

You:

The SEO Coordinator is tasked with contributing to our Digital Strategy team through the creation of deliverables including report creation, local SEO work and keyword research. A SEO Coordinator on our Digital Strategy team will demonstrate critical thinking and grow in operational expertise across tasks that will assist internal team members and drive client results.

Where:
This position is available to be fully remote. Serving a national client base, Socius is headquartered in Tampa, Florida, in the prestigious Rocky Point area. The Socius office offer panoramic views of Tampa Bay, and a corporate gym and deli are conveniently located on premises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Strategy Team in the execution of optimization strategies and reporting.
• Perform detailed online research about client brands.
• Conduct keyword research, on-page and off-page optimizations.
• Communicate directly with our account management team and clients regarding Search related questions and concerns.
• Participate in strategic brainstorming sessions.
• Execute link-building strategies, and report on all communication using custom reporting and tracking software.
• Communicate with directory listings (such as Google and Yahoo) to create, update or edit citations via email or by phone.
• Collaborate with the SEO team about Google updates, market trends and analyses about web marketing landscape.
• Attend trainings and webinars to keep up with industry best practices.
• Manage and execute SEO driven strategies for key clients
• Perform competitive research to identify competitor strategies and growth opportunities
• Communicate directly with the account management team, and clients to provide monthly reporting, POVs and solutions to content related questions and concerns

Skills and Qualifications:

• Internship or 1 year+ experience in office environment, agency preferred.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills via email, phone and in-person.
• Must have strong attention to detail, have great multitasking abilities and be very organized.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Drive to produce accurate deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
• Genuine interest in supporting a client's needs to improve their website and brand health, online.
• Experience with GMB & local citation listings
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Search Console
• Experience with SEO and marketing tools such as SEMRush, AHrefs and Moz
• Ability to manage multiple accounts, from new client onboarding to project execution
• Ability to manage multiple projects across departments in an organized and efficient manner
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred/Nice to Haves:

• Existing agency experience.
• Knowledge of advanced search operators.
• A basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, WYSIWYG editing.
• Experience working in a remote environment.
