We are working closely with our customer in the Software industry to hire a knowledgeable Senior C++/Qt desktop applications Software Engineer.

When our cilent's world-renowned monitoring software PRTG is deployed in large & complex IT networks, IT admin teams utilize the multi-server data management and visualizations provided by their own cross-platform desktop application. This application was developed with commercially licensed Qt / C ++ and is aimed at more than 50,000 power users around the world who work with our client.

Our client has a team of talented desktop application engineers and they're looking for you to join and strengthen their team.

The exciting part! Below you can find what this role entails:

• Together with the team you are responsible for development of the cross-platform PRTG
  desktop application
• You develop the desktop applications user interface, custom visual components, business
  rules and in-memory data management functions written in C++/Qt
• You develop prototypes designed to evaluate hypotheses for new product concepts and
  ideas
• You bring new ideas to the team, discussing and planning their implementation together
  with the Product Owner
• You support our technical support team with 3rd level support cases 

• You have experience with Qt/QML
• You are confident in the daily use of developer tooling such as QtCreator, JIRA and Git
• You have experience with modern C++ on Windows, ideally on MacOS and Linux too
• You have just as much fun sharing your knowledge as you do when learning from
  colleagues
• You have knowledge in software architecture, design patterns, clean code principles, and
  coding of complex software systems
• You consider unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration as essential elements
  of software development
• You have preferably first hand experience in agile development processes (e.g. Scrum,
  Kanban, Scrumban)
