This role focuses on designing reliable, secure, and efficient cloud-native platforms that enable developers to deliver high-quality products faster.
You will work across infrastructure-as-code, Kubernetes, CI/CD, observability, and developer experience initiatives.
The position offers the opportunity to influence cloud architecture decisions and improve engineering productivity at scale.
You will collaborate with distributed teams in a highly technical, innovative environment that values automation and operational excellence.
This is an opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges and shaping modern cloud platforms.

Accountabilities:

The Software Development Engineer II, Cloud Platform will help design, maintain, and evolve cloud infrastructure platforms while improving reliability, scalability, and developer workflows. This role requires strong cloud engineering expertise, a commitment to automation, and the ability to collaborate across distributed technical teams.

  • Manage and expand AWS resources through infrastructure-as-code frameworks such as Terraform and Terragrunt.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing cloud environments using technologies including CloudFormation, CDK, ECS, Lambda, and other AWS services.
  • Design and promote Kubernetes-based deployments for new services, supporting scalable and reliable application delivery.
  • Lead migration initiatives from legacy deployment approaches toward modern platforms such as EKS and ArgoCD.
  • Develop and maintain centralized CI/CD frameworks using tools such as GitHub Actions and automated deployment solutions.
  • Contribute to cloud architecture strategy, open-source tooling decisions, and infrastructure best practices.
  • Configure and improve observability platforms to support monitoring, alerting, analytics, and operational visibility.
  • Promote reliability engineering practices through testing, incident response, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Participate in on-call support and contribute to resilience initiatives, including incident reviews and operational improvements.
  • Create clear technical documentation and communicate architecture decisions effectively across teams.
  • Support a culture of collaboration, transparency, innovation, and data-driven engineering decisions.
  • Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a cloud infrastructure engineer with experience building scalable platforms and automation frameworks in complex engineering environments. You should have strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

    • 5+ years of experience managing AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt, Atlantis, CDK, or similar technologies.
    • 4+ years of experience managing containerized workloads at scale using Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, or related platforms.
    • Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD systems in distributed engineering organizations using GitHub Actions or comparable tools.
    • Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Istio, and cloud-native deployment practices.
    • Proven ability to design secure, reliable, and cost-efficient AWS solutions using services such as EKS, ECS, EC2, Lambda, Fargate, CloudFront, IAM, Route53, and DynamoDB.
    • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Node.js, or Go.
    • Experience implementing observability solutions using platforms such as Datadog, CloudWatch, or similar monitoring tools.
    • Knowledge of incident response practices, resilience engineering, and blameless post-mortem processes.
    • Strong documentation, communication, and knowledge-sharing skills with a willingness to mentor others.
    • Ability to work asynchronously, prioritize effectively, and make independent decisions aligned with business goals.
    • Interest in leveraging AI tools thoughtfully to improve engineering workflows and decision-making.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive annual base compensation ranging from $157,675 - $213,325 for most US locations, with higher ranges available for certain high-cost labor markets.
      • Compensation determined based on qualifications, experience, skills, impact, role scope, and location.
