Who We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for a Software Development Manager to join our LAMP Development team. You will be responsible for planning, developing, and releasing software solutions within our cloud environment, focusing on our Life Cycle Management (LAMP) application. As part of this role, you will be responsible for overseeing each aspect of the development process, as well as serving as the technical lead for the team, with the ability to jump in and help with hands-on execution. Further, you will drive the adoption of best practices in a continuous improvement environment by ensuring our team follows our Software Development Life Cycle.

As an ideal candidate for the Software Development Manager role, you’ll demonstrate your leadership skills and your experience in building dynamic teams. Additionally, you should consider yourself to be a creative thinker, a problem solver, a teacher, a learner, and a leader of people.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead a team of software engineers, including hiring, performance management, job assignments, conflict resolution, career development, and coaching
  • Oversee and participate in designing, developing, and maintaining integration flows using a variety of platforms, APIs, databases, protocols, cloud, and data formats
  • Identify, support, and develop our ETL environment including recommending improvements, monitoring, and deploying quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy and integrity of data
  • Ensure that all integrations maintain the same level of technical standards set by the team by collaborating and reviewing code with other developers and business operations
  • Work with Business Systems Analysts and the Chief Architect to ensure that the data and the business processes that intersect in the Enterprise Applications ecosystem are efficient and high fidelity
  • Oversee and participate in the design of databases, table creation, script creation, views, procedures, packages, and other database objects
  • Manage the delivery of quality software releases ensuring product commitments are met with respect to quality, budget, and schedule
  • Work with senior leadership to maintain and improve development processes within the agile SDLC framework
  • Solve critical complex production problems in a demanding software development environment
  • Ensure proper communication on deliverables with stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Foster an environment of collaboration, trust, and accountability for departmental and cross-functional teams
  • Participate and/or lead in agile ceremonies and planning as needed

Your Qualifications & Interests:

  • 7+ years of experience leading Agile software development teams in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of applications
  • 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as TypeScript, React, NodeJS, and GraphQL, CSS, and HTML
  • 5+ years of experience with data platforms such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and RabbitMQ
  • 5+ years of experience leading and deploying software in virtual cloud environments using Terraform, Kubernetes, Databricks, Key Vault, Azure AD, Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure Front Door, Azure Application Gateway, Azure CDN and Velero
  • 5+ years of experience with .Net, Microsoft SQL Server, enterprise data warehouse models and concepts such as data reporting and ETL
  • Experience working with API management such as Apigee, Postman, and Swagger
  • Self-starter with the ability to coach, mentor, and coordinate work with team members
  • Comfortable working in the weeds with technical software development teams, as well as at a portfolio level with high-level executives
  • Experience working with applications/tools to capture, manage and communicate business and technical requirements such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment with multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to quickly learn new software solutions and business processes
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science or the equivalent level of experience
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills
  • Strong analytical and logical problem-solving skills and great attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
