PayPal Profile & Settings team is looking for a highly talented, self-driven senior full stack Engineer to take on the challenges of leading the engineering team. We want people who demonstrates thought leadership, great execution skills and a passion for delivering superior user experiences. As a member of the team, you will directly work with the product owners and designers to create outstanding solutions and deliver incredible products.

Responsibilities:

• Architect, design and develop scalable, resilient full stack applications, reusable web components, frameworks, common libraries and restful services
• Lead and participate in producing deliverables to high quality standards
• Work closely with Product Management, User Experience Design, Analytics and other cross functional & vertical development teams to meet business requirements.
• Take ownership of the solution from end to end and be responsible for translating functional requirements into a web solution.
• Enforce sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of solutions including, but not limited to, technical design and code reviews.
• Act as a technical advisor to application development teams to plan, implement, and support new and existing web applications.
• Develops and communicates technical processes, standards, and best practices to the team

Requirements:

• Experience in architecting, designing, implementing, and maintaining high performance, high availability, large-scale web applications
• Experience with SEO, page optimisations, CDN, Content Management and the related tools
• Proficient in client & server-side JavaScript, Ruby On Rails, HTML5, CSS3, React.js, Redux
• Experience with cross-browser, cross-platform and design constraints on the web
• Strong understanding & experience with Design patterns and Data Structures
• Experience in design and building RESTful APIs; exposure to GraphQL is a plus
• Well versed with code versioning tools such as Git and CI/CD
• Comfortable working in agile product development environment, building from scratch and continuously improving on it
• Highly analytical, innovative, and able to think strategically and to develop comprehensive detailed specifications
• Excellent verbal and writing skills; ability to produce clear, concise communications and documentation
• Highly effective at working in cross-functional groups and getting results in matrix organisations
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work on concurrent assignments with different priorities
• At least 6+ years of web application development experience & overall 8+ years of software development experience
• B.S. or equivalent degree in Computer Science
