Software Engineer (Python/Django)

The Software Engineer will be responsible for developing robust backend solutions, supporting application delivery, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure high-quality software outcomes. The role involves:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Python and Django.
• Build scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions aligned with technical and business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features, improvements, and technical enhancements.
• Participate in code reviews, follow Git-based development practices, and contribute to effective branching and pull request workflows.
• Deploy and support applications in cloud environments, preferably using Microsoft Azure or similar platforms.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform application monitoring, and support ongoing maintenance activities.
• Work in Linux-based development and deployment environments.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and deployment automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with frontend teams when required to support full-stack development activities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has strong backend engineering experience, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently in a remote and collaborative environment. Required qualifications include:

• Proven professional experience developing applications with Python and Django.
• Advanced or fluent English communication skills.
• Experience working with Git in collaborative development environments, including pull requests and code reviews.
• Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, with AWS or GCP experience also considered.
• Comfortable working with Linux environments.
• Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting skills, and ability to independently manage technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or other CI/CD tools.
• Experience with React and TypeScript for full-stack development is a plus.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and Helm is a plus.
• Experience managing application deployments, production monitoring, or working directly with clients in a consulting environment is desirable.
