Solar Foreman / Lead Electrician (Must Have Commercial Solar Experience)

Role: Solar Foreman / Lead Electrician # of Openings: 1 Location: Chicago Area Compensation: Prevailing Wage ($95.00 to $105.00 per hour, plus overtime) Job Overview Our client, one of the fastest-growing commercial solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) companies in the nation, is looking to bring on an experience foreman to lead a commercial solar installation crew and serve as the crew's lead electrician in support a portfolio of commercial solar projects in the Chicago area. This role is a contract role with our client that has the potential to turn into a full-time opportunity. Job Responsibilities • Travelling to project sites throughout Chicago and the surrounding areas • Supervising crew members to ensure responsibilities are carried out efficiently and effectively • Submitting order requests for materials and equipment, and overseeing and ensuring the procurement, maintenance, and installation of all electrical components • Creating weekly job plan with crew responsibilities and objectives • Identifying and mapping obstructions • Planning and installing electrical and conduit runs and interconnections • Testing and commissioning the systems • Installing inverters (experience SolarEdge and other three phase inverters is a plus) • Installing any additional systems, such as energy monitoring and communication systems • Ensuring all safety standards are met and adhered to Successful Candidates Must Have: • At least 3 years of commercial electrical experience on solar projects • Experience with three-phase, 480 volt systems (or higher) • Experience with power/utility shutdowns • The ability to lift upwards of 50 pounds • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel • Communication, collaboration, and detail-orientation skills Compensation This Solar Foreman / Lead Electrician role is based on prevailing wage has an hourly wage of$95.00 to $105.00 per hour, plus overtime, dependent on where the work is performed.
