Job DescriptionÂ
The Solution Architect is a customer-facing mid-to-senior-level (depending on experience) technical sales role. This role will work directly with Executive Leadership & Channel Sales to design, architect, and sell modern Azure solutions that accelerate customer business & industry outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Directly engage with customers & Microsoft individually or as part of a technical delivery team.Â
- Oversee and advise on the implementation of the customer’s Azure platform.
- Translate business and industry outcomes into technical solutions.
- Demonstrate technical leadership through personally developed code, solution architectures and implementation recommendationsÂ
- Act as a trusted advisor to customer technology & business leadership for thought leadership and solution approaches.Â
- Extract business requirements from customers and translate them into a well-architected recommendation in line with Microsoft’s Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF).
- Develop and provide forward looking guidance and future state roadmaps.Â
- Leverage known best practices and solutions to reduce risk to customer implementations.Â
- Decompose future state goals into actionable execution plans.Â
- Collaborate with Eastwall executive, sales, and delivery teams to ensure customer alignment to Eastwall, Microsoft, and Customer goals as part of our “Three legs of the stool” approach.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of experience in Azure cloud solutions such as Infrastructure (Networking, Virtual Machines, Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery), Application Modernization (App Services, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, CI/CD practices), and Data services (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Warehousing). Candidates without direct technical experience on Azure should not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience withpresales responsibilities related to proposal development, solution architecture, statement of work authoring, and co-owning of technical sales pipeline with a direct sales team.
- Experience in a consultative role or engineering role working with multiple clients concurrently at any given time is required.
- Direct channel sales experience with Microsoft is preferred, but not required.
- Experience supporting Production applications or workloads, being able to performance test and troubleshoot related issues.Â
- Experience with other public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Oracle) is beneficial, but not required.
- Any experience with Microsoft Fabric is highly beneficial and preferred.Â
- Experience in any cloud AI/ML services is a plus.Â
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing & PowerPoint presentations.Â
Expectations:
- New hires in this role will complete the following certifications within the first twelve weeks of hire:Â
- Exam AZ-104: Azure Administrator AssociateÂ
- Exam DP-305: Azure Solution Architect ExpertÂ
- Exam DP-900: Data Platform FundamentalsÂ
- Travel for this role is up to 25% within the continental United StatesÂ
