Solutions Architect - Financial Services - Key Accounts

While candidates in the listed locations are encouraged for this role, we are open to remote candidates in other locations in various cities around the US.

We are looking for experienced pre-sales professionals who have a successful track record helping large enterprises become more data-driven. Reporting to the Field Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with customers, product teams, and the broader customer-facing team to develop architectures and solutions using our platform and APIs. You will guide customers through the competitive landscape, best practices, and implementation; and develop technical champions along the way. 

The impact you will have:

• Work with multiple accounts as the main technical voice for Databricks.
• Build and present reference architectures, technical guides, and product demonstrations  for customers.
• Consult on Big Data architectures for strategic projects, spanning data engineering, data science and machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.
• Become an expert in, and evangelize Databricks across developer communities through meetups, conferences, and webinars.
• Use your strengths to help your fellow SA's, and drive cross-functional relationships across the company.

• Experience landing and expanding new logo accounts. 
• Form relationships with executives and influencers.
• Proficiency at establishing virtual teams, and leading them to ultimate success within the account.
• Present a convincing point-of-view to important decision-makers that leads them down a path of success.
• Have built solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience in at least one of the following:
• Data Engineering technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka)
• Data Warehousing (e.g., SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS)
• Data Science and Machine Learning technologies (e.g., pandas, scikit-learn, HPO)
• An ability in data-driven business transformation, and driving change with data.
