About the Role:

Tradeswell is looking for a creative, practical Data Scientist to join the Solutions team and develop complex solutions that simplify the problems current and prospective customers currently face. This Data Scientist would be given the opportunity to work with customers directly to understand their problems, and to propose and build effective solutions.  

With Tradeswell’s data platform and front end UI handling a majority of the data ingestion, wrangling, normalization and presentation, we’re looking for someone to develop new solutions to these problems that customers face in the ever-changing ecommerce environment. 

This role works closely with the solutions, data science and product teams to identify opportunities to take custom solutions and engrain them in the product directly. The solutions can vary from a new practical way to analyze a situation, to full ML model building and implementation. So while the role is expected to be agile in the ability to create solutions, there’s a large emphasis on the ability to picture how a solution can be utilized at scale.

The successful candidate will be capable of supporting projects with the highest degree of quality. They will have a proven record of assuring quality of data analysis, be a team player who thrives in a high performing work environment and acts with confidence to communicate to all levels - internally and externally.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years collecting, synthesizing and analyzing a wide array of data inputs
• Proficiency using Python, R and SQL
• 3+ years experience building ML/AI models
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mathematics, or a similar field
• Ability to analyze a complex problem and develop a sustainable solution
• Experience working with customers directly preferred
• Experience in ecommerce and/or digital marketing preferred
• Experience with Tableau is a plus
