Team: Business Development

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Solutions Engineer - Financial Institutions based in United Kingdom.

This role sits at the intersection of technology, payments, and strategic partnerships, supporting financial institutions in unlocking the full potential of a global payments infrastructure platform. You will act as a key technical advisor to banks and regulated financial entities, ensuring seamless API integrations and high-performing payment flows. Working closely with commercial and product teams, you will translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions. The environment is fast-paced, international, and highly collaborative, with strong exposure to cutting-edge payment technologies. Your work will directly influence payment performance, conversion rates, and fraud optimization at a global scale. This is a high-impact position where technical depth and client-facing expertise come together to shape next-generation financial ecosystems.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end technical engagement with financial institutions, from pre-sales solution design through integration, go-live, and post-launch optimization, ensuring a smooth and successful partner journey.
  • Design and implement scalable payment solutions in collaboration with sales and product teams, tailoring architectures to the specific needs of banks, neobanks, and regulated financial organizations.
  • Drive API-based integrations (REST APIs, webhooks, SDKs), ensuring secure, efficient, and fast deployment cycles for complex financial environments.
  • Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior and technical stakeholders within financial institutions, translating complex system capabilities into clear business and operational value.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration challenges, proactively unblocking technical issues to maintain momentum in delivery timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to influence platform improvements and enhance overall partner experience and system performance.
  • Contribute to continuous optimization efforts, including payment conversion, authorization rates, fraud detection, and intelligent routing strategies.
  • Requirements:

    • 8+ years of experience in a Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, or similar technical role within payments, fintech, or financial services, with direct exposure to banks or regulated financial institutions.
    • Strong hands-on experience with API integrations (REST, webhooks, SDKs) and distributed system architectures in enterprise environments.
    • Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders in highly regulated, risk-sensitive environments.
    • Demonstrated experience leading product demonstrations, technical presentations, and solution workshops with enterprise clients.
    • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills across large, multi-layered financial organizations.
    • Strong analytical mindset with proven problem-solving skills in high-complexity integration scenarios.
    • Advanced English proficiency is mandatory; additional European languages are a plus.
    • Benefits:

      • Competitive compensation package aligned with market standards.
      • Fully remote work flexibility across Europe.
      • Home office allowance to support your ideal remote setup.
      • Company-provided work equipment.
      • Stock options participation.
      • Comprehensive health coverage regardless of location.
      • Flexible paid time off to support work-life balance.
