As a Specialist, you'll oversee and maintain the fund accounting, financial administration, custody and securities lending processes for Nationwide's mutual funds, exchange-traded funds and collective investment trusts. In addition, you'll provide oversight of key vendors and service providers. We'll depend on you to review accounting and financial reports and reconciliations and manage operational aspects of product launches and modifications.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees valuation and liquidity management, including data gathering and compiling reports, etc.
• Supports proxy process to ensure voting occurs and monitors for exceptions.
• Supports fund launches and modification events.
• Leads class action data tracking process.
• Manages data gathering for expense payments, budgets and accruals. Provides gathered information to consultant/senior consultant for review.
• Assists with asset strategy trading processes including rebalances and changes to investment portfolio, setting up new accounts, etc.
• Supports financial reporting, accounting oversight, treasury and trading functions and vendor relationships independently.

May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Leader, IMG Financial Administration. Does not have direct or indirect reports.

Typical Skills and Experiences:

Education: Undergraduate degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.

License/Certification/Designation: None required.

Experience: Five years of accounting or finance experience; strong preference for mutual fund accounting, administration or custody experience

Knowledge, Abilities and Skills: Working knowledge of GAAP and accrual-based accounting, mutual fund regulatory and compliance requirements, mutual fund accounting and audit guidelines and mutual fund industry practices and procedures. Understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis. Understanding of the principles of taxation and the related impact on financial statement preparation. Requires a high level of expertise in relationship building and collaboration, providing solutions, results orientation, written and verbal communications and the ability to take ownership and initiate action.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager's leader and Human Resources Business Partner.

Nationwide utilizes a geographic-specific salary structure. The range for this role in Colorado is$65,000.00 - $99,750.00

Nationwide pays based on a geographic-specific salary structure. The range for this role in Ithaca, New York is$65,000.00 - $134,500.00
