This role is a key leadership position within global clinical development, focused on shaping and executing operational strategies for late-phase programs in obesity and metabolic liver disease.
You will drive end-to-end clinical trial delivery with a strong emphasis on speed, quality, and value creation across complex global studies.
The position plays a central role in translating clinical development plans into executable operational strategies aligned with scientific and regulatory expectations.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including clinical operations, statistics, regulatory affairs, safety, and external partners.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will lead the operational execution and strategic planning of late-phase clinical development programs in obesity and MASH.

  • Lead clinical delivery and provide operational input into late-phase Clinical Development Plans
  • Develop and oversee operational strategies, including timelines, country and site selection, and sourcing models
  • Ensure alignment across cross-functional teams to maximize efficiency and eliminate redundancy across trials
  • Drive adoption of innovative trial designs, digital technologies, and data-driven approaches
  • Ensure patient-centric trial execution and sustained engagement with clinical experts and sites
  • Identify feasibility risks early and define mitigation strategies, including vendor and resourcing needs
  • Provide strategic direction to trial teams and ensure consistent execution against program objectives
  • Collaborate with study operations teams to monitor performance and enhance trial delivery quality
  • Requirements:

    This role requires strong expertise in global clinical development and operational leadership within complex pharmaceutical environments.

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in life sciences
    • For Senior Associate Director level: 10+ years of clinical development or clinical operations experience
    • For Director level: PhD or MD with 5+ years in therapeutic areas, or Bachelor’s/Master’s with 15+ years of clinical trial experience
    • Strong experience in global clinical trial execution across multiple phases of drug development
    • Experience in obesity and/or MASH strongly preferred
    • Deep understanding of clinical operations within a global, matrixed pharmaceutical environment
    • Proven ability to lead complex, large-scale clinical programs
    • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and stakeholder management skills
    • Solid knowledge of global regulatory, ethical, and compliance requirements
    • Ability to work effectively across cross-functional and international teams
    • Strong commitment to patient-focused innovation and ethical standards

      • Competitive base salary ranging from $170,000 to $269,000 for CDOL level and $200,000 to $316,000 for SR CDOL level
