Sr Developer - NodeJS

In this role, you will take ownership of backend development efforts, focusing on building scalable Node.js applications, developing APIs, and ensuring system performance, reliability, and maintainability across production environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL-based services for seamless data exchange
• Develop and support serverless application architectures where applicable
• Ensure high performance, responsiveness, and reliability of backend systems
• Write unit tests, participate in code reviews, and uphold coding standards
• Debug and resolve production issues using modern development and monitoring tools
• Collaborate with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to improve system design and efficiency

Requirements

The ideal candidate has strong backend development experience, particularly in Node.js, along with solid understanding of APIs, scalable architectures, and modern development practices.

• 4+ years of experience in backend development using Node.js
• Strong experience with RESTful API design and integration
• Hands-on knowledge of GraphQL and related tools (Apollo GraphQL is a plus)
• Experience in building or working with serverless architectures
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills using modern developer tools
• Experience with unit testing, code quality practices, and peer code reviews
• Understanding of scalable system design and backend performance optimization
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and work collaboratively in teams
• Strong willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (BCA, BSc, BTech, MCA or equivalent)
