Job description

Team: IT

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Frontend Engineer (React) based in the United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for a senior frontend engineer to lead the technical direction of modern React applications powering enterprise-scale digital solutions. You will combine hands-on development with technical leadership, guiding distributed engineering teams while building scalable, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces. Working alongside architects, designers, and backend engineers, you will help shape frontend architecture, establish engineering best practices, and deliver production-ready features in an agile environment. This role offers the chance to influence product quality, mentor developers, and contribute to innovative AI-enabled software projects while working remotely with occasional client collaboration.

Accountabilities

  • Lead the frontend architecture for enterprise web applications, establishing best practices for React development, component design, state management, and application scalability.
  • Mentor and oversee a distributed team of frontend engineers by assigning work, reviewing code, promoting engineering excellence, and supporting professional development.
  • Design, build, and maintain reusable component libraries and design systems to ensure consistency, maintainability, and accessibility across multiple applications.
  • Collaborate closely with UX designers to transform wireframes and prototypes into responsive, high-quality user interfaces that meet accessibility standards.
  • Integrate frontend applications with secure REST APIs while implementing role-based access control (RBAC) and authentication patterns aligned with enterprise identity solutions.
  • Maintain frontend quality through automated testing, secure development practices, CI/CD compliance, and timely resolution of defects throughout the software lifecycle.
  • Participate in sprint planning, technical discussions, stakeholder demonstrations, and knowledge transfer activities to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Work cross-functionally with architects, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver scalable, secure, and user-focused software solutions.
  • Requirements

    • 6+ years of frontend software development experience, including at least 4 years of professional React development using functional components, Hooks, Context API, and performance optimization techniques.
    • Proven experience leading or mentoring frontend engineering teams, including coordinating distributed or offshore developers.
    • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend architecture principles.
    • Experience building reusable component libraries, enterprise design systems, and responsive user interfaces from Figma or similar design tools.
    • Solid understanding of REST API integration, authentication mechanisms, RBAC concepts, and enterprise security best practices.
    • Experience using modern AI-powered development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, or similar productivity solutions.
    • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Storybook, or equivalent frontend testing tools.
    • Experience working with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, security scanning tools, and modern software delivery practices is highly desirable.
    • Knowledge of Material UI, React Router, RTK Query, Azure APIM, Azure App Services, or enterprise financial platforms is considered an advantage.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Benefits

      • Fully remote position within the United States with occasional travel to client offices as needed.
      • Full-time W2 employment.
      • Comprehensive healthcare and employee benefits package.
      • Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale AI and digital transformation initiatives.
      • Exposure to modern technologies, AI-assisted software development, and cloud-native engineering practices.
      • Collaborative environment with experienced architects, designers, and engineering leaders.
      • Professional development, technical leadership, and career growth opportunities.
      • Initial 9-month engagement with strong potential for extension or long-term placement based on project performance and client needs.
