We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our User Experience team to lead cross-platform initiatives that improve our customer's experience building with DigitalOcean. Reporting to the product leader for User Experience, this Senior Product Manager will work directly with our customers and cross-functionally with Product Design, Engineering, Marketing, and other Product Managers. In this role, you will impact the direction of our control panel and many other features customers use daily while also improving internal development team productivity.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Lead, define, and communicate the strategy, vision, and roadmap of the Platform Experience team with all key stakeholders, partnering with leaders across User Experience and the Product Leadership Team.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, product design, and research to build and evolve a world-class design system that enables consistent and lovable customer experiences across the platform.
  • Build and nurture an agile and innovative product culture within the team, founded on the importance of continuous and rapid prototyping and learning.
  • Develop business cases, including financial models, for new products and features to create alignment between opportunities and business value.
  • Use analytical and quantitative skills to understand and communicate key customer problems and evaluate the impact of the team's work.
  • Drive innovative ideas, solutions, and products through leadership and decisive action.
  • Understand the competitive landscape for cloud computing, how it is evolving, and opportunities for strategic partnerships or new product offerings.
  • Coordinate and lead discovery processes with research to gain insights into important customer pain points and problems to solve.

What You'll Add to DigitalOcean:
  • 6+ years of experience envisioning and building high impact products, ideally with a platform context (internal/external customer facing components).
  • Ability to work across engineering, architecture, design, product marketing, GTM sales, and customer support to help launch new products and support existing ones.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and coordinating directly with engineers and designers to ship high quality products.
  • Successful at communicating with audiences at all levels of the organization, and can effectively tailor messages between technical and business stakeholders.
  • Embodies the "builder" mentality and can develop a deep understanding of technical problems faced by internal engineering teams and developer customers in order to determine the shortest course of action to impact.
  • Ability to excel in a distributed workplace environment and collaborate asynchronously where appropriate.
  • Has strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
