Accountabilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams in service transformation initiatives, aligning cross-government programs with citizen-focused digital service strategies.
  • Define and develop end-to-end service strategies, including current-to-future state transformation roadmaps.
  • Conduct user research to identify needs, behaviors, pain points, and expectations across digital services.
  • Design and deliver service design artifacts such as journey maps, personas, service blueprints, and opportunity backlogs.
  • Translate research insights into actionable recommendations for service and product improvement.
  • Present strategies, design concepts, and recommendations to executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
  • Provide expert guidance on service design, UX methodologies, and citizen-centric design approaches.
  • Mentor and support team members in applying design research, information architecture, and prototyping methods.
  • Support knowledge transfer and ensure continuity of service design practices within ministry teams.
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in digital service delivery.
  • Requirements:

    • Extensive experience in service design, UX design, or digital product/service transformation roles.
    • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in complex transformation or public-sector environments.
    • Strong expertise across service design disciplines, including user research, information architecture, prototyping, and strategic design.
    • Experience developing service blueprints, journey maps, personas, and end-to-end service strategies.
    • Strong executive communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence senior leadership and gain buy-in.
    • Ability to translate complex user insights into clear, actionable service and design strategies.
    • Experience mentoring or training teams in service design methodologies and UX practices.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and systems thinking capabilities.
    • Experience working in government or large-scale digital transformation initiatives is an asset.
    • Ability to operate independently in complex, evolving stakeholder environments.
    • Benefits:

      • Opportunity to lead high-impact digital service transformation within the public sector.
      • Remote work arrangement with collaboration across distributed government teams.
      • Strategic influence on citizen-facing digital services and government platforms.
      • Exposure to large-scale service design and transformation programs.
      • Collaboration with senior executives and cross-ministry stakeholders.
      • Opportunity to mentor teams and shape service design maturity within government.
      • Competitive contract engagement with potential for extension.
      • Meaningful work improving accessibility and usability of public services.
