This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. ServiceNow Developer based in Mexico.

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and enhancing enterprise-grade solutions across a complex ServiceNow environment. You will contribute to the delivery of scalable platform capabilities, advanced integrations, and AI-powered features while supporting critical business operations. This is an opportunity to work on high-impact initiatives spanning multiple ServiceNow modules, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build secure, efficient, and future-ready solutions. In addition to hands-on development, you will help drive technical excellence by mentoring teammates, promoting best practices, and ensuring high standards for platform governance and software delivery. This fully remote contract offers the chance to work on innovative projects within a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, and customize solutions across ServiceNow modules including Customer Service Management (CSM), IT Service Management (ITSM), Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD), and Service Level Operations (SLO).
  • Build and maintain integrations with enterprise systems using IntegrationHub, MID Server, REST/SOAP APIs, Workflow Data Fabric, and other integration technologies.
  • Develop and optimize business rules, client scripts, script includes, UI actions, scheduled jobs, and server-side JavaScript using Glide APIs.
  • Lead technical design reviews, perform code reviews, and ensure compliance with development standards, SDLC practices, and Azure DevOps release processes.
  • Deliver and enhance AI-driven capabilities such as Now Assist, AI-assisted case deflection, and automated knowledge generation.
  • Collaborate with platform administrators on upgrades, patching activities, testing strategies, and deployment planning.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions while maintaining high-quality technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational runbooks.
  • Mentor developers and administrators, promoting platform best practices, performance optimization, security, and maintainable code.
  • Requirements

    • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience within enterprise production environments.
    • Proven expertise across multiple ServiceNow modules, including strong experience with CSM, HRSD, and S2P (Source-to-Pay), along with ITSM, SLO, or IntegrationHub.
    • Advanced proficiency with ServiceNow scripting, including server-side JavaScript, Glide API, GlideRecord, GlideSystem, REST message scripting, and transform maps.
    • Demonstrated experience building integrations with external platforms using REST, SOAP, JDBC, MID Server, and event-driven integration patterns.
    • Strong understanding of ServiceNow security concepts, including ACLs, roles, user criteria, and data access controls.
    • Experience using Azure DevOps or similar SDLC tools, including branching strategies, code reviews, deployment pipelines, and release management.
    • Hands-on experience with AI capabilities, including Now Assist, AI Search, Journeys, and Order Guides.
    • Ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects in Agile/Scrum environments while producing clear technical documentation.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
    • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications are strongly preferred.
    • Additional certifications such as ITIL v4 Foundation and experience with ServiceNow upgrades, Performance Analytics, or multi-instance architectures are considered an advantage.
