Splunk is looking for an individual to join its Global Field Enablement (GFE), Reporting, Systems &Tools team to boost Spunk's fast-growing business. The GFE Reporting team works to measure the impact of global enablement activities in order support data driven decision-making throughout the team and across internal customer groups. We are looking for a problem-solver, who uses both quantitative and qualitative methods to get things done, most importantly, an individual who wonders "What if?"And is passionate about seeking out the solution.

This person will play a significant role in how we "turn data into doing" with their expertise and passion to help address the data and analytical needs of GFE at Splunk. Their knowledge of data and analysis capabilities along with a developing business context will ensure our GFE and Field organization leaders are well-informed and able to make decisions backed by data.

The right candidate for this position accepts change and is comfortable handling ambiguity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manipulate and analyze large and sophisticated data sets to distill insights or correlations from data; connect disparate ideas into cohesive, well-grounded recommendations using creative, effective, structured, and analytical thinking.
  • Work with the team to design, develop and automate dashboards and analytics for Leaders and Managers at scale.
  • Orchestrate appropriate data visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, measurable solutions for the team and/or internal customer to consume / share.
  • Assist with the mapping of GFE data sets to the data warehouse.
  • Support high priority (i.e. multi-functional, high impact) projects to improve Enablement and sales reporting and performance.
  • Partner across the team to define the data elements and data structure the team should use to enable analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with GFE team members and/or stakeholders for requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.
  • Standardize data and report consumption across all operations groups.
  • Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the operational metrics.
  • Serve as a point of contact for the field focused data or reporting requests; evaluating, consolidating, and streamlining requests and their delivery to support GFE members and field leaders.
  • Support Global Field Enablement reporting needs related to enablement activities including learning completion results, traditional and high touch onboarding metrics to inform progress against targets and an overall shortening of new hire ramp time.
  • Help to develop and monitor performance indicators and analyze causes of unexpected variances. Work with team members to enhance global performance metrics (current actuals, historical tendencies etc.) using appropriate metrics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Stats or related areas
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • This role is for doers; be able to get into the details and get the job done while at the same time being able to see the forest for the trees.
  • Articulate with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Capable of communicating complex information in an easy to understand format. Able to interact comfortably with multi functional leadership teams.
  • Ability to think creatively; Builder who is ambitious. Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized.
  • Collaboratively-focused and able to work well with others in a fast-paced and growing business.
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Word, GoogleSheets, Salesforce.com, Workday, Anaplan experience a plus
  • Experience with data management tools such as Alteryx.
  • Technical experience developing SQL queries in a Snowflake environment.
  • Experience with analytics and visualization tools, such as Tableau.
  • Experience owning complex projects involving multiple teams.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills

  • Experience working with technical sales and/or pre-sales operating metrics and designing dashboards to support technical sellers. These dashboards provide a holistic view of how they are measured.
  • Experience with pre-sales systems and applications.
  • Experience working with and aggregating data from multiple learning and enablement systems.
  • Experience correlating enablement progress with key pre-sales operating metrics.
  • Pre-sales practitioner experience is a plus.

Note:

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $160,000.00 - 220,000.00 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $144,000.00 - 198,000.00 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $129,600.00 - 178,200.00 per year

Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. Please note that the base pay range is a guideline and for candidates who receive an offer, the base pay will vary based on factors such as work location as set out above, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for incentive compensation and may be eligible for equity or long-term cash awards.
