Job Description

Position Summary:

Define, gather data, analyze, and manage logistics in large and/or multiple projects simultaneously.  Lead and manage projects while ensuring quality work product, client satisfaction, and ongoing staff development.  Draft proposals, scope of work and other contracting documents.  

 

Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

  • Direct and conduct primary and secondary research on complex issues in the business of healthcare and life sciences, in order to address client needs
  • Synthesizes insights and recommendations from primary and secondary research 
  • Providing guidance on secondary research and project direction, in conjunction with project lead
  • Owning select client interactions, including running weekly status updates, leading project deliverable presentations, and communicating internally and externally regarding critical issues, new insights and questions to clarify and maintain alignment of work with client needs
  • Performing quantitative and qualitative analyses to aid the development of recommendations
  • Supporting business development activities and assisting in the development of proposals for clients
  • Provides  junior team members under their management with clear direction (management of junior staff may occur during select projects, but not all)
  • Plays a key role in the development of relevant pricing and market access strategy, as well as ensuring project direction and workplan fully meet all client deliverables
  • Begins to develop client relationships
  • Attends client meetings; may lead portions of client meetings and help manage client expectations on select projects
  • Responsible for ensuring the work product contains data that is accurate and correctly cited, in addition to ensuring the quality of work performed by junior team members under their management (management of junior staff may occur during select projects, but not all)
  • Develops expertise in specific areas and demonstrates such expertise by playing a role in development of products, pitches, IP, etc.
  • Executes and ensures the quality of all aspects of project workstreams within their purview, with purview defined by workplanning with project lead. Responsibilities may include creation and management of workstreams on select projects 
  • Demonstrates leadership in the local office
  • Contributes to certain areas of practice development (e.g. marketing, recruiting, mentoring)

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree , demonstrating a track record of academic excellence
  • 3 years of consulting or related business analytics/strategy experience within the healthcare space (pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, diagnostics industry)

Other Required:

  • Ability and flexibility to travel (Note: Travel is not required during the COVID19 pandemic.  Any travel undertaken must comply with relevant health authorities, eg. CDC, PHE, ECDC, etc.)

Preferred:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Economics, Business or a related field is preferred; a Master’s or PhD degree in Science, Economics, Business or a related field is an advantage
  • Knowledge of US pricing & market access, developed via experience in healthcare consulting or within the pharmaceutical industry
  • A track record in mentoring junior staff members is preferred; managing successful projects is an advantage
  • Track record of achievement that shows initiative and drive

Skills:

  • Strong MS Office literacy e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Self-starting attitude with a strong desire to learn and grow rapidly
  • Proven critical thinking, analytical, interpretative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, and an ability to build credibility with external and internal stakeholders
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent project and client management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, motivation, and work ethic
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
Precision is required by law in some states or cities to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to: skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Precision, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  This role is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, health insurance, retirement savings benefits, life insurance and disability benefits, parental leave, and paid time off for sick leave and vacation, among other benefits.

$88,000—$132,000 USD
