Upwork is looking for a seasoned, data-obsessed, passionate Field & Alliances Marketing leader who will be responsible for developing and activating high-impact field demand plans for both acquisition and expansion Enterprise marketing motions, and scaling out the alliance marketing programs within. Reporting to the Vice President of Enterprise Marketing, the Sr. Director, Field & Alliances Marketing is responsible for leveraging campaigns to drive in-region specific execution of a variety of full funnel programmatic and account-based net new & expansion pipeline and deal velocity programs. This leader will support and grow Upwork's relationships with strategic industry partners and associations to create and accelerate enterprise opportunities by empowering other organizations to be our megaphone. 

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead, scale and mentor a higher performing team responsible for executing executive and functional buyer roundtables, partner events, webinars, etc. to create and accelerate new sales opportunities and deepen our existing customer and partner relationships
  • Own forecasting and shared accountability to deliver to targets from the Field & Alliance Marketing motions
  • Work cross-functionally with the campaigns, performance marketing and events teams to build the field marketing activation plan for both land and expand, including direct and partner programs
  • Leverage the provocative brand and awareness building initiatives to infuse into our field marketing motions
  • Partner with our Sales Leadership to align on goals, priorities and progress of driving contacts, engagement and down funnel conversions
  • For our target account lists, execute an account-based approach for 1:1 and 1:few strategies, plans and deliverables
  • Build out the alliance marketing engine by identifying new partnership opportunities and establishing education and engagement activations
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and product to leverage insights and learnings to develop plans to increase affiliate channel engagement and pipeline growth
What it takes to catch our eye:
  • Proven leadership in scaling impactful, revenue driven Field Marketing teams
  • SaaS, Tech, or Staffing industry experience preferred
  • Strategic and outcome-oriented mindset in the planning and execution of a high-impact marketing plan
  • Industry and association partner alliance management experience
  • Strong executive presence and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Influential leader who can proactively move priorities forward, displaying excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • A proactive and entrepreneurial spirit who can effectively lead and nurture a team to achieve outstanding results
