Sr. Engineers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the U.S. (HQ: Chicago, IL). Create, maintain, evolve, and extend Cloud infrastructure to support software applications and services. Collaborate with engineers to engineer, deploy and operate software solutions and workflows. Conduct research on AWS cloud technologies and Cloud provider services. Perform daily monitoring of software applications, verify the integrity and availability of application services, and ensure that critical platform services are completed successfully. Create automated approaches for administrative and common process tasks for the software development process. Mentor junior engineers. Technical environment: JavaScript, Python; experience troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) via examination of application/platform stack, workflow or debugger; encryption, authentication, BC/DR; AWS (EC2, ECS, SWF, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, CodePipeline, Splunk, CloudWatch); Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD.
Job Requirements
*Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field or Information Systems or related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or as an Engineer or in software architecture/design required. Required Skills: Experience in engineering, deploying and operating software solutions and workflows; JavaScript, Python; experience troubleshooting and RCA via examination of application/platform stack, workflow or debugger; encryption, authentication, BC/DR; AWS (EC2, ECS, SWF, Lambda, S3, Step Functions, Code-Pipeline, Splunk, CloudWatch); Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD. Telecommuting permitted. (*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field or Information Systems or related field plus five years of progressive experience in the job offered or as an Engineer or in software architecture/design also acceptable).
